What’s the biggest mistake someone new to internet marketing makes? They try to make money for free. They won’t invest in the right tools and services, they live in a day long gone when people like good old Ken Evoy was telling people how it was possible to make a fortune without spending a dime (did he ever close the doors to the 5 pillar club as promised?) Unfortunately, its just not possible on the internet of today, not least because of the time you have to invest. You can’t just throw up a site and move on anymore. You have to work at promotion and that takes a lot of your time and you have to delegate your time effectively.
As an example let’s break down exactly what a PLR article pack is worth to me and how much it costs me. PLRPro supplies 11 PLR article packs for $97 so I make that about $9 a pack. Each pack contains 40 articles so if my math is right, that’s about 22 cents an article. I can write a 450 word article in about an hour with the research. Something like this article, where I know the subject and don’t have to do any research will take no more than half an hour. So if I write 2 an hour that makes my time worth 44 cents an hour. In other words, to write my own articles I consider my value to be worth less than a famous rap singer (50 Cents).
That’s without taking into consideration the fact that each pack has the keyword research included with a spreadsheet showing the top 1000 long tail phrases, predicted results, Google KEI figures etc. It also includes a spreadsheet showing the best performing and best paying affiliate programs from within the article packs niche and to top it off nicely, it includes professionally created headers to use should you be creating a new blog or site with the pack rather than adding the articles to an existing site.
Doing all the above research and creating the graphics (finding a suitable graphic to pinch on google images) would take at least half a day but I spend about that rewriting all my PLR articles so that evens out about right.
Now you might be thinking “It’s ok for you spending $97 a month when you are making $500 a day but it would take my Google Adsense account 3 months to reach $97″ but you would be looking at it the wrong way around. I make $500 a day BECAUSE I spend $97 a month on PLR articles. Actually I spend quite a bit more than that but you get my point. Because of PLRPro, I can have 11 niche targeted blogs up and running each and every month with little effort. My time is then free to promote those blogs by writing promotional articles for the directories, arranging links, creating Squidoo Lenses and all the other things needed today to get a decent rank.
Until I took the plunge and made a commitment by making a financial investment, I wasn’t making any money. Once I started looking at my online activities as a business, delegating my time effectively, purchasing tools that genuinely made my life easier and using professional services that were cost effective, my income shot up.
I ran at a loss for the first couple of months I was paying for my PLR articles and more than likely, once you have money going out, you will too but you will soon turn that around. Being in the red focuses your efforts and you will find you get a lot more done than you were doing previously. You will start to think of it as a business rather than a hobby and as such, the rewards will follow.

Not everyone is able to use all the niche article packs that are included with sites like PLRPro. I think it´s a good idea to have individual packs for sale as well, for those who don´t want to spend too much money when they are just getting started in niche sites.
