The power of Web 2.0 was demonstrated this weekend after Clare had started using the Web 2.0 Submitter and received
over 200 unique hits on Sunday.
The Web 2.0 Submitter is a tool that comes bundled with her Authority Site Center membership although you can purchase it seperately if you aren’t a member. It works very similar to OnlyWire except instead of submitting your post to several bookmarking accounts it submits your post to news sites like Digg, Plime and Reddit as well as to sites like StumbleUpon.
Like OnlyWire it is not designed to cheat the system, it simply acts as a massive time saver. What would take hours to do manually takes less than one and the traffic return is almost instant. Its not just the traffic though because these powerful sites give you plenty of link love so its definitely worth doing even if you do the submitting yourself individually.
Another great tool she started using that is included in her Authority Site Center membership is the Buzz group. Basically its a Web 2.0 co-op where you spend an hour reading members submissions on the various Web 2.0 sites and then rate and comment them. This earns you credits which you use to get the other members then do the same with your submissions.
I fully expected the Authority Site Center to be heavily Web 2.0 powered as the founder Jack Humphrey wrote the book on the subject but I wasn’t quite expecting it to be so organized. He’s put several things in place like unique plugins and tools that have been designed to make life as easy as possible for the end user. Basically, Clare writes her posts and spends half an hour with the Buzz group and the rest takes care of itself.
Its about a 15 days since I signed her up with the Authority Site Center so pulling in over 200 uniques a day already is very impressive. She is sticking to the training program and recommendations and has made at least one post per day since getting the site up on about day 4.
