Authority Site Center Review Part 5 - Traffic Building

traffic.jpgIt’s been a while since I did an update on Clare’s Authority Site Center blog experiment. In part 4 she had done the monetization training and had decided against Adsense and was going to put together an ebook which was the recommended choice of her mentor Jack Humphrey. Jack owns and runs the Authority Site Center and isn’t a fan of Adsense on Authority sites.

As I had reported in part 4 I already had 2 ebooks sat on my drive that fitted her chosen niche. Unfortunately, a little searching revealed everyone and his dog were selling or worse giving away these books. Not surprising really as I’d had them best part of 2 years.

Clare got to work putting her own together when one of the 3 ebook packages I got for May from www.plrproebooks.com (you can read my review of PLRPro ebooks here) was perfect for her niche.

Having a fresh ready written ebook complete with teaser book and 10 part autoresponder course to do the selling for her meant once I had changed the cover graphics and she had it all set up she could concentrate on the good stuff, ie. the Authority Site Center 60 day traffic plan.

At the end of April the site was doing between 300 and 400 unique visitors which was very impressive for a blog only 5 weeks old. Today she is 40 days into Jacks 60 day traffic plan and is pulling between 1200 and 1500 uniques. As predicted the traffic plan revolves around Web 2.0 and there are plenty of things involved that are completely new to me.

To be able to get 4 figure traffic in under 10 weeks is pretty impressive for a seasoned search engine marketer but for Clare who has little to no experience I find it amazing.

As well as following the traffic plan Clare also needs to keep up the other tasks as per the Authority Site Center plan. She has written a unique post every single day, several articles for distribution a week etc. Its certainly not a get rich quick scheme or a plug in and go auto site builder but it is building a genuine online business.

Last months Authority Site Center fee was covered by a couple of affiliate sales but June’s was covered within the first week thanks to several book sales so everything it makes for the rest of the month is profit.

I’ve been impressed with the tutorials and courses so far and its interesting that all who are in Clare’s webinar group because they joined around the same time are all still in there. Although I suppose when they see results like these its a lot easier to stay motivated. Download Jacks free Bible of Web 2.0 traffic here.
