Inside Google’s Offices
Written by ady on July 23, 2008 – 3:40 pm -The people who decide whether your site gets traffic or sits gathering cyber dust look to be well looked after judging by these photographs from inside Google headquarters that I had sent to me.
This Google stress capsule locks out all light and noise presumably for when workers need time to consider the implications of their latest algorithm alterations.
Getting from floor to floor looks interesting but I would be more impressed if they slid up a floor rather than down. They have poles every where too, apparently.
Each member of staff has at least 2 large screens so that they can better compare your article to the one on Wikipedia.
Large “idea” boards are on the walls everywhere you look ready to catch the latest world domination brainwave (muuuhhhaaaaaaaghhaaaaaaaaghaaaaaaaaagh). The stranded boat is to remind staff what happens when you take your finger off the search pulse, the boat’s called yahoo.
These booths are on every floor and are for staff members to use if they need to attend to private matters. Just think, Google Guy writes his blog sat in one of these. Perhaps that’s him now………………….
When the spamming gets to much and they just need to chill, vibrating chairs and relaxing aquariums are available for all. Its a tough job, but somebody has to look after the internet!

Loving those offices. Love ‘em or hate’em Google always tries to do things differently. Personally I think it would be great fun to work in an office environment like that. Fair play to Google!
