PLR Articles - Start Your Own PLR Membership Site?
Written by ady on November 17, 2008 – 4:35 pm -I came across a shockingly bad post the other day where the knob head author was telling his readers how to make money by starting a PLR articles membership site. According to his post here, all you do is sign up with one PLR articles provider such as PLRPro and then pass on their monthy content to your 100 or so members who are all paying you $29 a month for the privilege of letting you rip them off.
This prick even says you should sign up to all the PLR content providers that offer a free trial and then sell all that free content to your paying members.
People like this drive me nuts. He quite clearly has no idea what he his talking about (”Hire a web designer, he will handle all the technical and design stuff for you.“) when it comes to PLR articles yet he writes about it as if he’s done it all and it worked a treat.
Some poor sod comes across his post and spends a stack of money hiring a web designer to do all the stuff involved in setting up a PLR membership site only to find he gets slapped down and sued by Matt Callen, Marc Lyndsay or one of the other big players from the PLR content world.
All providers of PLR articles are fully aware this scam could happen to them which is why they always sign up with any new PLR article providers to check them out.
To help with the court cases they also clearly state in their terms of use that you cannot sell the Resale Rights, Master Resell Rights or Private Label Rights to any of the PLR articles and PLR ebooks provided by them.
There is one provider who allows you to sell their PLR articles here but as there is no limit on the amount of distribution the PLR articles receive, what’s the point? Any members you did manage to pry away from the big players would soon leave when they realized the articles they are getting are also being distributed by another dozen or so PLR membership sites.
I’m afraid the boat has long sailed from port if you were hoping to cash in on running your own PLR articles membership. With the arrival of blog feeders such as Article Marketing Automation and Syndicate Kahuna offering free unique content for bloggers, the big players in PLR articles stepped it up a few more gears and could no longer be called simply PLR providers.
PLRPro now comes with a big green button that once pressed will build, publish and promote your monthly PLR articles. It’s members have access to bookmarking and RSS tools that in terms of results put stand alone tools available on the market to shame.
Simply PLR provides their PLR articles spin ready so that each article can produce 100’s, even 1000’s more unique articles ready to be distributed throughout the various article directories. You can also queue your articles at your various blogs ready to be posted over a random period all from within your members area.
As you can see, trying to break into this market would be extremely difficult even if you hire someone who does the design stuff.
One way though would be to only supply PLR articles for a particular niche. I used to be in one that only provided golf articles as I had several golf sites at the time. If you are knowledgeable on a particular subject and really enjoy writing and know how to market your service and can get someone to do the design stuff, you might make a few bucks.
I’d be willing to bet though that it would be more profitable simply creating your own blog or site with all that writing talent rather than spending your time writing and trying to sell it as PLR articles.

Starting your own membership, could take a long time to develop. When done you have to worry about getting traffic in, etc. If you have problem with email marketing, then traffic should never be a problem. So, before any im marketing starts really creating a profitable product, start building your list at first.
